As part of ongoing efforts to help local neighborhoods during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Galman Group, a property management team, recently coordinated with the city Department of Parks and Recreation to donate school supplies to students learning at the access center at Daniel Boyle Memorial Recreation Center, 13024 Stevens Road.
The city’s access centers provide Philadelphia students in kindergarten through sixth grade with a safe place for digital learning when caregivers work outside the home and have no childcare support. The centers were created in response to COVID-19.
The Galman Group has been compiling individual bags with several supplies that the access centers can give to each student to help with their learning and other activities. Twenty bags were delivered to Boyle Recreation Center by Brian Paule, chief operating officer, and Mary Duff, Northeast Philadelphia manager.
The Galman Group serves Fox Chase, Bustleton, and Somerton.
