Galman Group has broken ground on a $30 million multifamily complex at the Pavilion in Jenkintown, a property it has owned since 1996 and is using the project to reposition it as a mixed-use town center.
The development, located next to the real estate company’s home office, will consist of a 130,000-square-foot building with 104 rental units of which 14 will be townhouses and the remainder apartments. Barton Partners is the architect.
The project will be developed on an open field totaling 3.8 acres at the north end of the property. As part of an effort to highlight the property as mixed-use, it will be rebranded as the Pavilion Town Center and the apartments called the Flats at the Pavilion Town Center.
